Wives of Hounded African Migrants Seek Justice and Closure

The Emancipation Support Committee of Trinidad and Tobago will join the wives of a number of African undocumented migrants at the Immigration Investigation Office, upper Henry Street (

(Opposite Salvation Army car park), Port of Spain on Wednesday December 17th at 10:00am.

The wives wish to bring closure to the criminalisation, persecution and hounding of their husbands and their children’s fathers, who only seek to have their status regularised.

The Emancipation Support Committee will speak to its agenda for justice for undocumented migrants in Trinidad and Tobago.

In light of the appalling treatment meted out to undocumented migrants from African countries, the ESC reminds the authorities of the words of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, that “human rights are not country specific…..they are the inalienable entitlements of all people, at all times, everywhere”.

All media are invited.

Respectfully
